Hotel & Motel Air Conditioning Cleaning (PTAC Units)
When Did Your AC Units Last Get a Proper Clean?
PTAC units – the through-the-wall heating and cooling units found in most Nova Scotia hotel and motel rooms – run constantly. Guest after guest, year after year. And most of them never get properly cleaned.
Inside a neglected unit you’ll find years of built-up dust, mould, dead insects and debris packed into the coils and drain pan. The unit works harder to push air through all of that buildup – costing more to run, wearing out faster, and pumping that contaminated air straight into your guests’ rooms.
One musty smell on check-in. One temperature complaint at 11pm. One bad review mentioning “the AC.” That’s the real cost of a dirty unit – and it’s almost always avoidable.
💡 Pure Air cleans both the front AND rear coil – something most cleaners skip. It’s the difference between a surface wipe and a genuine deep clean.

Common Questions About Hotel AC Cleaning
How often should PTAC units be professionally cleaned?
At least once a year. For properties with high year-round occupancy or coastal locations, twice a year is worth considering. We’ll give you an honest recommendation based on what we see, and discounts for a regular cleaning schedule.
How long does it take to clean a complete unit property?
We typically clean 8–12 units per day depending on condition and accessibility. We’ll give you a realistic timeline when we talk — no surprises.
Can you work around occupied rooms?
Yes. We start with vacant rooms and work around your checkout schedule. We do need access to a full wing or block of rooms at a time to work efficiently — but most properties find this easy to plan around. Minimal disruption to your guests and your operation.
Will cleaning fix a unit that's already performing poorly?
Very often yes. Weak airflow, noise and temperature problems are usually caused by buildup rather than mechanical failure. A clean is always worth trying before replacing a unit.
What areas do you service?
We cover hotels and motels across the Quad Counties, Cape Breton and surrounding areas — including Antigonish, Port Hawkesbury, New Glasgow, Chéticamp and more.
Are you insured and WCB covered?
Yes — fully insured with $2,000,000 liability coverage and full WCB coverage. We can provide documentation if your property requires it.
How much access do you need to the property?
To work efficiently we need access to a full wing or block of rooms at a time — ideally a whole floor or section in one visit. This lets us move quickly from room to room without disrupting guests. We’ll plan it all out with you before we arrive so everything runs smoothly.
